Health and Support Services
Pride Scholarship Application

Latinos Salud is proud to offer the Health and Support Services Pride Scholarship to members of the LGBTQ/A+ community who are pursuing higher education for a career in helping professions such as nursing, social work, psychology, or public health, and who intend to work in South Florida upon graduation. Latinos Salud’s scholarship is available to LGBTQ/A+ high school seniors for their freshman college year, and to continuing undergraduate college / university students.

Our Pride Scholarship will award up to $2,500 per year for college Freshman and Sophomore years, and up to $5,000 per year for the Junior and Senior years.

The selection committee considers multiple factors when assessing scholarship applicants, including academic performance, financial need, personal goals, likelihood of progress toward a degree, and the applicant’s identification with and concern for the well-being of the region’s LGBTQ/A+ community.

The selection committee is especially focused on those whose lived experiences and identity equip them to serve LGBTQ/A+ community members disproportionately impacted by medical and mental health conditions. Each candidate who applies is evaluated on the criteria listed below as well as the totality of their situation.
